Background & research

Mathilde Chanut is a medical doctor and PhD candidate in Laurie Menger’s laboratory. Following an early dual training in medicine and biomedical sciences, she completed a Master of Science in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford, UK.

She subsequently specialized in adult hematology, developing a particular interest in acute leukemias. Her PhD project focuses on improving cellular therapies for patients with relapsed or refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL).

Her doctoral research is jointly supervised by Laurie Menger at Gustave Roussy Cancer Center and Paul Maciocia at University College London (UCL). This collaborative project combines expertise in T-cell engineering and CAR-T cell development to advance next-generation immunotherapies for T-ALL.
